Dr. Donald Otoyo Ondieki serves as the Director of the Permanent Presidential Music Commission, providing strategic leadership for the Commission’s mandate to guide, coordinate and develop music and dance in Kenya.

A distinguished music scholar and leader, he champions the identification and nurturing of talent, the preservation of Kenya’s rich musical heritage, and the growth of music and dance into a vibrant, sustainable industry. Under his leadership, PPMC delivers quality entertainment during national, state and presidential functions, runs talent-development programmes across the counties, and builds the capacity of artists through hands-on skills workshops — spanning music production and recording, vocal and instrument training, songwriting and composition, dance and choreography, sound engineering and live performance, and the business of music and music rights.

He believes in music and dance not merely as entertainment, but as a powerful engine for opportunity, culture and national pride.
